Nothing like the smell of cinnamon and baking to make a winter day pleasant. This is really a beautiful book, with common sense advice about the vegetables from the garden, and it's excellent for the novice cook, since it has pictures and instructions, and does not expect esoteric knowledge. This is a book that should be back in print if it is possible. The old Victory Garden show with Roger Swain and Chef Marian was the best. The show went way downhill after they left.
